ARTIST STATEMENT
Diana McClure uses photography, collage, writing and web-based projects as tools to explore the liberation of thought, spiritual agency and women. Her art practice is informed by multiple narratives and engages metaphysics, astrology, nature, contemporary culture and the gathering of information. A strong compositional vocabulary and vibrant minimalism are key elements in the work.

COLLAGE
The Cosmic Sheness series engages the interconnectedness of concepts of Ashé, Shakti, Ch’i, The Holy Ghost, energy (sexual energy), Prana, and life force energy. The work also explores the relationship between spiritual agency and the liberation of thought embodied in concepts of female divinity from around the world.
